Fees & Payment Information

About Fees

The listed pricing covers instruction and ice time. All registrations are also subject to the following fees that will be added during check out:

$53.70 - Skate Canada fee

Annual registration and athlete insurance that covers the full season September 1-August 31.

$5.00 - Safe Sport fee

$23.00 - Club Admin fee

$40.00 - Fundraising fee

Each member will receive an Ontario Skaters' Promotional Contest booklet, which contains 20 raffle tickets that you can sell for $2 each to recoup your money (*not charged for Pre-CanSkate).

Brochure Note

For your convenience, our CanSkate print brochure and registration form may bundle these amounts so that you will see an "All In Price" (does not include Fundraising Fee), however our online registration system will break out and display each of the above fees as separate charges.

OSC reserves the right to change prices or schedules without notice. Ice cancellations due to arena unavailability, weather, or unforeseen issues are not the responsibility of our Club.

Refund Policy

Refunds are given for medical reasons (with a Doctor's note) and relocation (i.e. too far to drive).
All refunds must be approved by the board.
The following fees will NOT be refunded - OSC Club Admin and the Fundraising fee. Also, the refund will be less any sessions already skated.
Please contact our Members Representativmembersrep@oshawaskating.com to formally request a refund. All refund requests will be reviewed at the next scheduled board meeting.

Change of Session Policy

A $10 administration fee will be charged for a change of session. This does not apply to changes due to successful passing of tests or stages.

Payment

1. Paying By Credit Card

Payments can be made by Credit Card through your account right on Uplifter. Go to My Account

2. Paying by Bank e-transfer

Send payment to etransfers@oshawaskating.com

*No password needed. Please ensure you indicate your SKATERS NAME or INVOICE# in Memo/Description box.

3. Paying by Cheque or Money Order

Make cheques or money orders payable to the Oshawa Skating Club.

Installments

Payments may be made by installment for some programs. Follow the guidelines provided below for your session.

Pre-CanSkate / CanSkate
(a) Half-year (October to December OR January to March) - installments are not available and the total fee is due at registration.

(b) Full-year (October to March) - fees may be paid in two installments; half of the invoice amount, due October 1 and the other half due November 1.

StarSkate Levels A, B, C, and D
**All fees must be paid by February 1.**

To calculate your installment payments, please follow these steps:

Add up your individual session costs. Divide by 6. This is your monthly payment
amount, which is due by the 1st of the month beginning with your first session in September and ending February 1st.
Add the Skate Canada, Safe Sport, Club Admin and Fundraising fees to your first
payment.

Example: Registering for Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday
a) Total invoice amount is $1,525.95
b) Session cost is $1,398
c) Calculation would be $1398 / 6 = $233
d) First payment would be $360.95 before first September session ($233 + $127.95), followed by $233 on October 1, November 1, December 1, January 1 and finally, February 1.

Important Note:
Payment for your skater’s sessions is due prior to their first session. Skaters with outstanding balances will be considered “not in good standing” and will not be allowed to skate on OSC sessions, and will not be given permission to test or compete until ice fees are up to date. Overdue accounts will be charged interest at a rate of 2% per month.

NSF cheques will generate a fee of $25 that must be paid immediately along with the replacement payment.
